There are so many reasons why, after meeting with several photographers, my now-husband and I chose Jonalee to photograph our wedding day. And there are infinitely more reasons why now, we are so very glad we did!
We were looking for classic, timeless photos that captured emotion and could hang on our walls for years without never looking out of style. She really listened to what we wanted and gave wonderful tips and guidelines for how to plan our day-of timeline to keep everything running smoothly. She wrangled our big families and all the kids for family photos so patiently and captured moments that made our families cry when we gave it to them in photo albums for Christmas.
It’s no secret that between engagement photos and a wedding day, there’s a ton of photos to be taken and my husband was very reluctant to say the least. However, Jonalee made us so relaxed and comfortable that afterwards he said not only was he not miserable like he anticipated, but he actually had fun during our photoshoots! As a result she was able to capture natural and genuine expressions instead of stiff, cheesy smiles.
Start to finish Jonalee was so easy to work with, always very prompt, professional and yet easy going and exuding such warmth and friendliness. She went completely above and beyond in every aspect. A few months before our wedding, when I was in the middle of the stress of planning, a package arrived with thoughtful goodies from Jonalee, just because! I was floored!

Your wedding day goes by so quickly with every moment feeling like it was mere seconds. You’re running around trying to entertain your guests and keep on schedule with all of the events. Wedding Day. Not just anybody’s, but our daughter’s wedding day. It’s the day that has been on our minds for many years with the big questions of who, when, and where. But then, when it arrived, it was the day where a myriad of details had to fall into place at just the right time, in just the right order and with just the right players.
