Brian + Katie | married | Maryland Lifestyle Photography

It was on an early 2014 weekend getaway with a bunch of friends at Deep Creek Lake. It had been about a month after they met and Katie suddenly thought, “Hm….Brian! I kind of like him!” I’m pretty sure Brian might have already been noticing Katie before then, so it wasn’t too long before they were more than just friends. On January 15, 2015 less than a year later, they were engaged. Two months after that, on a beautiful day in March, they were married.  Since Katie is my sister, who she married was pretty important to me and I have to say we all love Brian. He fits into our family perfectly and he takes such good care of Katie. She says she has never felt so loved and cherished in her life. Uh, you pretty much can’t ask for more than that! It’s such a joy to see them so happy together. They both love the beach (Brian is a surfer and Katie is learning…) and so our session at Assateague Island was  a wonderful reflection of who they are as a couple. Katie and Brian, I love you both and am so happy God brought you together!!

It’s always a pleasure to work with Ed and Amy and their sweet kiddos. I just love this family. The boys are growing up to be respectful, loving, helpful little men. They were so precious – complimenting me and wanting to help carry things for me and giving me hugs. It was SO CUTE! Baby A is the adorable princess in the family that everyone is smitten with and it’s not hard to see why. She has the cutest smile and I’m pretty sure she’ll be able to hold her own with those boys. Ed and Amy are celebrating their 7th anniversary this month and I hope they can see what a beautiful heritage they have already in their sweet little family.

the Krenzkes |Maryland Family Lifestyle Photography

Wow, what a beautiful family Jim and Cindy have! Their lovely daughter Megan contacted me in December about giving a Family Lifestyle Session as a gift to her mom for Christmas from her and her siblings, Taylor and Michelle. This is the second time I’ve had the kids in the family give a session as a gift to their mom and I think it is so sweet. They said the last time they had family pictures was when they were all little and it was at JC Penney’s or something like that. (I think all of our moms have those photos in our scrapbooks somewhere! – no offense to JCP)

Anyway, I was really looking forward to meeting the Krenzke’s and they didn’t disappoint. Early spring is tricky with the weather and the day of our shoot was super windy and chilly but the sun was shining and they all did a great job “thinking warm thoughts”. I loved how these photos turned out! Everyone looks so great (they are so photogenic) and Molly, the much loved black lab, added a very cute element to the moment. She is part of the fam, after all! It was a great session and I am so blessed to have met this wonderful family.

The Alexanders | Family Lifestyle

The Alexander girls are so full of life and personality it is always a joy to capture them being “them”. The day of our session was the warmest of a cold spell and that wasn’t very warm. But the girls were such good troopers and I only had to coax smiles out of one of them who will remain nameless (because you’d never guess from the photos)…but I hear she sometimes answer to “Pickle Peanut”. A family brimming with all the life, laughter and love you can get with five little girls. Thank you Alexanders for allowing me to capture a few of those moments! Here are a few of my favorites.

Annalisa | Senior

What do you get with a grin, a hedgehog and a clock named George? Annalisa’s senior photos! It was such a blast capturing Annalisa’s personality and her little creatures too. Thulieaux, the hedgehog, was absolutely adorable! Although I heard he had a little accident on the way home…he was motion sick. Oh my goodness his little face!! And George, the lime green clock, known and loved by all of her friends – we couldn’t leave him out. All in all it was a great session. Happy Senior Year, Annalisa! Go live your dreams.
