They were friends first. College friends. Good friends. Hanging out, talking, being themselves. And then one night, looking up at the stars (I think it was New Year’s Eve?), they realized that what they had was special. More than a friendship. Something worth holding onto.
“Perhaps, after all, romance did not come into one’s life with pomp and blare, like a gay knight riding down; perhaps it crept to one’s side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some sudden shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music, perhaps . . . perhaps . . . love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted rose slipping from its green sheath.” L.M. Montgomery
I think Josh and Christina’s love is just so, and it was a beautiful thing to behold on their wedding day. So much gentle tenderness and joy, surrounded by the supporting love of family and friends. The gray drizzly day did not dampen anyone’s spirits and I loved that Christina was all for taking photos outside despite the weather. She blew me away. Besides looking gorgeous, she was calm, excited, and brimming with joy all at the same time. Josh, meanwhile could not stop smiling or looking at his bride. Ah! So sweet.
Thank you both for allowing me to witness your precious relationship. I know it will carry you far! XO
