Matthew + Danielle | Virginia Wedding Photography

I met Matt and Danielle at Tyson and Haley’s wedding  back in October 2017 where they were part of the bridal party. I was so honored when Danielle asked me to be her wedding photographer a few months later! When one JEP bride refers another to me it means so much because it shows that they trust me enough to recommend me. Plus, all of my couples are awesome and they have awesome friends so I know I’m being referred to great folks! So it”s a win-win! All that to say, I was super excited to be part of Matt and Danielle’s special day.

October 27, 2018  was looking to be a chilly and potentially rainy day. But Danielle, who is a super positive and cheerful person, kept her spirits high and Brandon,at Faithbrooke Barn & Vineyards, was prepared to run things smoothly inside or out. With umbrellas on hand and cute warm blankets ready for the guests, things proceeded as planned. The florals from Flowers by Bunny were beautiful on the arbour outside with the misty mountain ranges and vineyard in the background. While Matt and the groomsmen hung out at The Manor House in town, Becca and Maria finished making the girls look gorgeous with their hair and make up. As guests started to arrive, the rain held off and the ceremony began without a hitch. Danielle looked absolutely stunning and Matt couldn’t take his eyes off her. After a very touching and sweet ceremony, the bridal party headed into the vineyards for portraits while the guests enjoyed cocktails on the patio. Such a good looking group of people!! Matt and Danielle are so perfect for each other and their love for each other is so joyful and contagious. I LOVE the moments I was able to capture with the two of them. The evening ended with delicious wood-fired pizzas by  Blue Ridge Pizza Company, desserts by Bijou’s Sweet Treats and partying and dancing courtesy of DJ Paul Entertainment. All in all, I don’t think the day could have been more perfect.

Matt and Danielle, you are the best! I am so thankful and honored to have been part of your beautiful day. I am so happy for you and wish you all the best together and in your future. XO

David & Beth | West Virginia Wedding Photography

I have had the privilege to photograph the weddings of a few of my friends’ kids and there’s nothing quite like it. The emotions take on a whole new level! (I cry at most weddings I photograph but these ones are pretty much a guarantee!)

Beth’s mom, Annette, is my good friend and she also works with me as my second shooter on a lot of the weddings I shoot. So while I didn’t really know Beth until last year, I’ve known of her through her mom. I was so excited for Annette when she told me her daughter was getting married to her long time boyfriend David. Then I was so HONORED when I met with Beth and Annette to talk about wedding photography and Beth hired me. I had a blast with David and Beth when we shot their engagement photos at North Beach this past spring. They are so young and cute and in love! I couldn’t wait for their wedding in August.

Well August 25, 2018 turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous day. We have had so much rain this summer but God gave us lovely temperatures and stunning light. Boydville in Martinsburg, West Virginia was a wonderful backdrop for David and Beth’s intimate wedding and reception. Megan was so accommodating and I know Annette and Beth really enjoyed working with them to plan the perfect event.

I loved spending time with the bridesmaids (including 2 of Beth’s sisters) before the wedding and David and the guys were super chill and easy to work with. Beth looked stunning in her gown from TLC Bridal; just like a princess! When David saw her during their First Look, his whole face lit up. It was so special. Together they make a gorgeous couple! Beth’s flowers from Wildflower Weddings were to die for and the adorable flower girls in their gauzy white dresses just made the whole bridal party look like a fairy tale.  The ceremony was short and sweet and after photos everyone enjoyed a delicious BFD (breakfast for dinner) catered by Keystone Family Restaurant. The evening ended with dancing under the romantic lights on the back patio and a sparkler send off. Perfect ending to a perfect day.

David and Beth you were a dream to work with and I am so happy for you and your families! Thanking you for the honor of being part of your day and capturing this part of your story. XO

Matthew + Rachel | Maryland Wedding Photography

Well Matthew and Rachel’s June wedding really could not have been more perfect. A little heat is better than rain and it was summer after all! Springfield Manor is such a gorgeous venue with lavender fields, a beautiful house and reception room, an elegant outdoor fountain, a peaceful front porch, perfect landscaping and a lovely arbor and outdoor ceremony space. When I arrived, Rachel was as calm as could be, enjoying her last few hours of being single with her closest friends. Her hair and make up were perfection thanks to Kimberly Grubbs and once she had her dress on – wow! She was stunning! Matthew couldn’t keep his eyes off her when she walked down the aisle on the arm of her proud father.

After a very touching and sweet ceremony performed by Ed Choy, we headed to the lavender fields with the bridal party for photos. I am in love with how they turned out. Everyone looked amazing and so happy for the new Mr. and Mrs. Lyons. The evening was perfect with guests enjoying cocktails on the venue grounds followed by a delicious dinner and ending with dancing accompanied by AJDJ Entertainment Services- these guests knew how to party! It was so much fun.

Having gotten to know Matthew and Rachel over the past year and a half, it was such an honor to be there to capture these timeless moments for them. They are such special people on their own but together they are an amazing couple. They are thoughtful, kind, grateful, caring and just fun to be around. I loved being there to celebrate with them.

Matthew and Rachel – I am so thrilled for you and wish you all the happiness you deserve!! XO

Matt + Lauren | Maryland Wedding Photography

It was a beautiful, windy, early fall day. The leaves had not quite turned but the purple gray clouds contrasting with golden fields and and the chill in the air held the promise of harvest. Matt and Lauren were getting married at the quaint and lovely Royer House in Westminster. Lauren and I arrived at the venue at the exact same time and she had her hair done but was dressed in plaid and leggings. She seemed perfectly relaxed but of course so happy and excited. We went inside and had a nice chat with Jen, the venue owner before heading upstairs to begin make up and detail shots (check out the felt flowers that Lauren MADE – love them!!). My assistant, Annette, went to hang out with Matt and the guys on one of the many screen porches. Everyone was so calm and ready to celebrate this wonderful couple.

Matt and Lauren chose to have  First Look which is always so special and emotional. Lauren couldn’t hold back tears and Matt was clearly smitten with her charm and beauty. It was very sweet as they had a quiet moment together on the front porch of the house before the festivities began. Lauren looked stunning in her simple gown and pearls (and pink shoes). Her laugh and smile can light up a room. Matt looked the perfect gentleman in his navy suit and polka dot tie. I loved the creative and thoughtful touches that Lauren incorporated into the day. You can tell she has an artsy side!

The ceremony was so meaningful with two beautiful poems read by Matt and Lauren’s sisters and very personal vows shared by the couple. There were tears and laughter…I loved the look on each of Matt and Lauren’s faces when they were sharing their vows. So in love and ready for the future together. As their families and closest friends looked on they joyfully pledged their commitment and devotion while a light wind swirled around them.  The day ended with delicious food, drink, dancing and cupcakes. Since the ceremony was at 1:00 everyone got to enjoy the beautiful afternoon on the Royer House grounds.

Matt and Lauren, I am certain that your life together will be wonderful. You are perfect for each other and I am so honored to have been a part of your day. Best wishes and happiness for your future!! XO

Aaron + Nicole | Maryland Wedding Photography

Aaron and Nicole are special people. I don’t know how else to say it. They are simply the kind of people you want to have in your life because they are so kind, thoughtful, encouraging and sweet.  I knew this about them already having met and hung out when we did engagement photos, but I saw it over and over again on their wedding day as well. I also learned why they are they way there are when I met their wonderful families. I came away from this wedding so impressed by how much Aaron and Nicky’s families love each other!

It was a beautiful autumn day. Their wedding and reception were held at Tall Timbers in Keedysville, MD which was a lovely backdrop for the brilliant fall colors Nicole had chosen for the bridesmaid dresses and flowers. Nicole has a very creative eye and made all of her flowers and centerpieces with the help of her family and friends. They were so charming! From Aaron’s bowtie to their super awesome green truck (Kermit) as the gift table to the lovely flowers in the arbor…everything looked gorgeous. And of course Nicole was absolutely stunning!! Her dad couldn’t hold back the tears when he saw her. After a sweet First Look on the property, the bridal party drove over to the Antietam Battlefield for portraits. The ceremony back at Tall Timbers was simple, meaningful and so sweet. Dinner was delicious, the First Dances left nary a dry eye and the couples’ family and friends were so happy to be celebrating…it was a lovely, intimate evening.  The day ended with  Aaron and Nicole sending a lantern up into the fading fall sky to commemorate their love.

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Lucas for allowing me to witness your love finally coming to fruition on this beautiful day. I am honored to know you both and wish you all the happiness in the world as you build your family together and continue to love those around you. XOXO
