Christian and Kati | Pennsylvania Engagement Photography

She was working at her job as a nurse. He came in to do some repair work at the facility. I’m pretty sure it might have been a case of love at first sight and it didn’t take long for them to realize they wanted to be together.  Getting to know each of them a little big over the course of our session, I can see why they would each be smitten with the other. And they clearly are.

A few weeks after I started chatting with Kati about wedding photography, she told me some exciting news that was going to put wedding plans on hold. I think you can guess what that news was! So we incorporated it into our engagement session. We meet in the cute little town of Gettysburg and then headed to the battlefields on a beautiful autumn day. Christian and Kati also had their adorable Golden Retriever, Cooper with them and he was such a good pup. I am so happy for this wonderful little soon-to-be growing family and it was an honor to capture some precious moments for them.

Brian + Jen | Maryland Wedding Photography

I loved this simple, styled shoot with Brian and Jen who are four years wed. Jen looked stunning in her dress and the setting made me think of some place in Italy…we can pretend, right? They were perfect models and it was fun hearing some of their love story: neighbors as kids but no crushes – apparently one of them was quite a pest (2 guesses and the first two don’t count)-  Jen’s family moved away to another state but they connected years later and before long they were seeing each other in a whole new light. Time and distance has a way of doing that! Now here they are, with their newly adopted baby boy, Ethan – a beautiful family. You never know what God has planned.

Thanks for a wonderful session Brian and Jen! You were amazing. XO

Josh + Christina | Maryland Lifestyle Wedding Photography

They were friends first. College friends. Good friends. Hanging out, talking, being themselves. And then one night, looking up at the stars (I think it was New Year’s Eve?), they realized that what they had was special. More than a friendship. Something worth holding onto.

“Perhaps, after all, romance did not come into one’s life with pomp and blare, like a gay knight riding down; perhaps it crept to one’s side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some sudden shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music, perhaps . . . perhaps . . . love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted rose slipping from its green sheath.” L.M. Montgomery

I think Josh and Christina’s love is just so, and it was a beautiful thing to behold on their wedding day. So much gentle tenderness and joy, surrounded by the supporting love of family and friends. The gray drizzly day did not dampen anyone’s spirits and I loved that Christina was all for taking photos outside despite the weather. She blew me away. Besides looking gorgeous, she was calm, excited, and brimming with joy all at the same time. Josh, meanwhile could not stop smiling or looking at his bride. Ah! So sweet.

Thank you both for allowing me to witness your precious relationship. I know it will carry you far! XO
